This is not actually the way the interview began, as I remember.
BACK STAGE: Let's start with Hamlet's advice to the players, "Suit the action to the word,
the word to the action." Do we agree with that?
DELOSS BROWN: Well--at this point in the play, Hamlet is completely crazy, and you will notice that he contradicts himself violently in that speech, so I think you have to take his advice with a grain of salt.
But this must not have pleased, because the remarks and ensuing discussion got left out of the article.
